I have volunteered with Fly Higher for over three years, dedicating myself to empowering underprivileged children with life skills. As a city leader for two years, I co-led a team of 90+ volunteers to create skill-based activities aligned with SDGs 3, 12, and 13.
I supported immigrants as a Student Volunteer with the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and Immigrant-ARC (I-ARC). At NYLAG, I conducted interviews and screened applicants using immigration screening forms. With I-ARC, I assisted over 15 respondents, including Spanish speakers, with limited liability forms, I-ARC FOTC Appearance Sheets, and Change of Address forms.
At the Pop-up Clinic with Fashion Law Institute, I assisted an attorney with IP consultations for a home goods brand, ensuring they navigated the complexities of intellectual property smoothly. As a fashion attorney in India, I advised small brands on legal matters, focusing on NDAs and IP laws. I provided tailored guidance on protecting their designs and trademarks.
In India, with Beach Please, I joined with others to clear and segregate waste from the beautiful Mumbai beaches, restoring their natural beauty. With FabScrap, I tackle the fashion industry's waste in New York, sorting and repurposing materials to reduce landfill impact. These experiences shaped my understanding of environmental conservation and highlighted the importance of collective action in preserving our planet.
