Becoming a lawyer was unplanned. Looking back, I believe it was fate. I'm the first in my family to become a lawyer and study abroad. Life taught me leadership and empathy as the eldest child, resilience from loss, and financial planning with limited funds. Despite challenges, my love for fashion and collecting stories stayed strong. Fashion inspires and empowers me. For me, it is deeply connected to culture, colors, people, and practices. Curious to learn the intersection of fashion and law, I returned to university to earn an LL.M. in Fashion Law.
I am fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi, and I know a dash of Spanish from my A2 certification and Duolingo practice. When I am not buried in legal texts, you'll find me engaged in conversations about fashion, books, coffee, or my passion for wildlife photography. I am an avid explorer of local cafes and restaurants, and my friends swear by my recommendations in the Big Apple (You have to try Dutch Fred's!!). Beyond my love for fashion and food, I advocate for safe abortion rights and people's sustainability in the fashion industry. I am always eager to share my fashion law expertise and learn from others.
